Hometown Hero: Teresa Price MONTGOMERY, W.Va. (WSAZ) Oct 9, 2009 -- A traffic accident changed a biker's life forever, but he says a helping hand from a compassionate stranger may have saved his life. Teresa Price, our most recent WSAZ.com Hometown Hero, put her nursing skills to work and made a serious difference for injured biker Mark Haynes. A crash in Nitro left him seriously injured and laying in oncoming traffic. But he was in luck, with a former nurse in the car just behind him -- Teresa Price. Mark says she was there "just like an angel." "I'm grateful that God put me there that day," Teresa says. "I don't feel like a hero at all." Mark has been riding motorcycles since he was 13, and this was his first major accident. His fellow riders with the "Brothers of the Wheel" are glad Teresa was looking out for him, too. Mark says he had another angel looking out for him after the crash. He says Amy Holstead also stopped to help him, and she is also a nurse.
